quite unreliable compared to other providers, a significant amount of cancellation. Waiting time never accurate. They also charged me for a trip I didn't take (the driver took other people instead and drove them to another destination) and refused to pay me back the amount for the whole trip.

My family and I, four of us, had several Uber drivers over the course of 5 days in Berlin and each was great. Some speak English, others tried their best. Overall we felt good about our experience. My best guess is that some of these negative reviews are probably from bitter Taxi drivers. Uber in Berlin works like a Taxi company, not like in the U.S. or elsewhere where drivers use their own cars and work per ride, these drivers are paid hourly. Legally, Uber could not operate in Berlin the way it does normally, so, the drivers are hourly employees. The pay is different, but the drivers seem to enjoy working for Uber.
