This was actually pretty fun and inexpensive to visit. It's nice to have a museum you don't need to spend hours at or rush through. A great way to spend 90 minutes.

The museum of Leopold Mozart (Wolfgang's father) is the true treasure of Augsburg. The museum is arranged in a very visitor-friendly way, describing and depicting the life of Leopold Mozart in an interesting and interactive methods. There are two highlights: One is the room with sign on the door "Come in". I will not reveal what is inside it but it is totally worth it, since my friend and I went twice inside. The other highlight are the two violins which visitors are encouraged to play on. All in all, one of the best museums I have visited. When we left it, we noticed with a surprise that 3 hours have passed.

This House is really worth to see. Rich and modern equiped, with interactive entertainment, games for children and adults (like composing your own melody), unique installations and styling interior. The museum staff is very friendly and trying to involve you in that epoch, italicize the most remarkable moments of the past times. Visiting could be fully enjoyable. Entrance was free. 45-60 mins enough to get a first and good impression. Can recommend.

The birthplace and the main residency for Wolfgang Mozart's father, Leopold Mozart. The house was recently refurbished and it looks good, it is entertaining and it is interactive (you can play violin inside!!). It is interesting and also shows how Augsburg was centuries ago and how the city's and Leopold's history were intertwined. I spent a nice hour here.

Wow what a carefully and thoughtfully crafted museum to shed an additional light on W.A.Mozart by focusing on his father. Well worth the 5€ entry. Very very highly recommended!

Very interesting museum. There are interactive parts, and you can even try to play violins. I would definitely recommend it.

I highly recommend a visit. Even if you have no interest in the music of this period, you will get an idea of Augsburg life in the mid 18th century. The museum is attractively laid out. It’s hands-on too: you can have a go at playing a violin.
